Arthur A. Cyphers, 81, of 1615 Liberty St., Wilson, died Sunday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Edna S. (Cornelius) Cyphers. They were married 54 years last July.

He was an inspector at the former Lehigh Inc., now Victaulic Inc., Easton, for 23 years before retiring in 1973. Prior to that, he worked in the same capacity at Taylor Wharton Co., Palmer Township, for five years.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Jesse and Laurie (Weston) Cyphers.

Survivors: Wife; son, Arthur A. Jr. of Wilson; brother Walter and sister, Laura Bonstien, both of Easton, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton. Call 7-8 p.m. Tuesday.
