Edwina L. Mueller, foster parent

Edwina L. Mueller, 83, of Washington Township, N.J. died Sunday, Dec 1, in Hackettstwon communtiy Hosptial. She was a homemaker and foster parents to more than 65 children over the years. mnay of the children had mental or physical disablisities.

Born Nov. 14, 1913, in Washington, she was a duagher fo the late Floyd and Minnie Stewart Fox. She was a lfelong resident of the Washinton area.

She was a 1930 graduate of Washington High School.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washinton.

She was a charter member of the Washington township Fire Co. Auxiliary.

She was a member of the United Methodist women.

She was a member of the J.O.Y. Group in Washington.

An avid doll colletor, she founded the Doll Castle News magazine, with her son Barry in 1961, as served as its editor until the time ofher death. She prepared dolls at Christmas for handicapped and American Indian Children

Her first husband, Ewald, died in 1974. Her second husband, Oscar, died in 1988.

She is survived by four daughters, Wendy and Marilyn M. Cressmen, both of Washington borough, Barbra Gordon of Blairstown, and Dorita A. Mortensen of Washington Township, with who she resided; three sons, Edward D. of Bethpage, Tenn., Richard F. of Mary Esther, Fla., and Barry D. of Washington Township. 23 grandchlren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednsday from theh Ford Funeral Home, 234 W. Washington Ave., Washington, Call 7 to 9 tonight in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Asbury Presbyterian Cemetery in Franklin Township, Warren County.
