Mrs. J. A. Lum, 82, South Side Church Member 68 years
Mrs. Ada M. Lum, 82, of 725 Center St., died at 4:05 p.m. yesterday at the Mimlitsch Nursing Home, Easton, where she was a guest since Jan 11. She had been ill since November.

Mrs. Lum was born March 25, 1883 in Easton, a daughter of the late George and Mary T Smith Garis.

She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Easton, for 68 years, and was a member of its Women's Guild. She taught the young adult Sunday school class for more than 50 years. She was a member of the South Side Auxiliary of Easton Hospital, William Parsons Chapter 185, order of Eastern Star, in which she served as matron in 1923, and the Golden Age Club of Easton.

Mrs. Lum and her husband Joseph A (Alex) Lum, observed their 63rd wedding anniversary last April 10.

Survivors include a son, Stanley, E. A. (Jim) Lum at home, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Rapp, Easton, and Mrs. Florence Sanderson, Phillipsburg; a brother George E. Garis Easton; two grandsons and two great granddaughters.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton. Memorial rites will be conducted by William Parsons Chapter at 8:30 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
