Mrs. Albertus Coates
Mrs. Bertha R. Coates, 62, wife of Albertus Coates, of 691
S. 25th Street, Palmer Township, died unexpected of a heart
attack today at about 7:15 a.m. at her home.
Born in Easton on Dec 8, 1892, a daughter of the late Harry
and Amanda Newhardt Garis, she had lived all her life in the
Easton area.
Mrs. Coates was a member of the Ladies auxiliary of West Easton
Fire Co., and the ladies auxiliary of Lester W. Pfeffer Post
611, American Legion, Wilson. She was of the Evangelical and
Reformed faith.
Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Norman J., of
Easton, and Ellwood W., of Wilson; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte
Reed, of Palmer Township, and Mrs. Shirley Huston, of Easton,
and four Grandchildren. Two sons, Harry and John died before
her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 P.M. at the Strunk
Funeral Home, Easton. |
