Mrs. Elizabeth Lockard
Mrs. Elizabeth (Good) Lockard widow of the late Samuel Lockard
of Belvidere, died Thursday morning at 1:30 at the home of
her daughter,, Mrs. Brazillian Potter, in Trenton, rather suddenly
, as there had been no apparent serious illness. Her age was
seventy six years. She was a native of Northampton County,
but had lived in Belvidere for many years where her husband
was a manufacturer and wholesale dealer in cigars. Mrs. Lockard
is survived by these children, Mrs. G. Krom, of California;
Mrs. B. Potter, of Trenton, Mrs. L. Hyatt, of Warwick, Miss
Kate Lockard, of Plainfield; Jeremiah Lockard, of Philadelphia;
Dr. Elmer C. and Harry Lockard, of Belvidere; also by these
brothers, namely, Reuben Good, of Upper Mt. Bethel, Pa., Jeremiah
Good, of Michigan, Henry Good of Bangor,k Pa., and William
Good, of Belvidere. Mrs. Lockard was a woman of splendid character
and kindly natured and dearly beloved by a wide circle of warm
friends. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church,
Belvidere. Funeral service Monday at p.m. from the residence
of Doctor Lockard, at Belvidere. Interment will be in the family
plot in the Belvidere Cemetery.
