Cornelius W. Hay, a native of Easton, died Saturday last at his home in Brooklyn, of cerebral apoplexy. Worriment over the health of his wife, who was in a German hospital, hastened his end.

Mr. Hay was a son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Hay. He was born in 1866. His widow, a daughter, Mildred, his mother, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Burgtorf, all of Brooklyn, survive.

He left Easton about 25 years ago and was amployed by Clarke,Dodge & Co., bankers, of Manhattan. He was a member of Baltie Lodge, No. 284, F. and A, M.; Welcome Council. No. 703, R. A.; the Jamaica Bay Yacht Club and one of the organizers of the National Athletic Club.
