Mrs. Henry Schafer, 73, Café Owner
Mrs. Beulah A. Schafer, 73, of 33 N. 4th Street., owner of Schafer’s Café, died Saturday night at her home. She was ill 2 ½ years.

Mrs. Schafer and her husband, Henry D. Schafer began operating the café in 1933. She carried on the business after her husband died in 1947.

Born July 7, 1894, in Raubsville, she was a daughter of the late Ezra F. Houck and Lillie M. Brower Houck.

Survivors include a son, Henry D. III, Easton; a sister Mrs. Clark C. Cooper, Washington, N.J.; two brothers, Harold C. Houck, Easton, and Orville A. Houck, York; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, Iola D. Brown, died May 15, 1964.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Strunk Funeral Home, Easton
