Mrs. Mary K. Staples
Mrs. Mary K. Staples, 84, widow of Arthur B. Staples, of 830
Monroe Street, Stroudsburg, died late yesterday afternoon at
her home. A native of Monroe County, Mrs. Staples was the daughter
of the late Valentine and Elizbeth Kiefer Kautz. She was a
member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Missionary Society
and Ladies Aid of the Church, and a member of Monroe Chapter,
No. 99, Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jacob Shafer, at home,
three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the home, 830 Monroe Street,
Stroudsburg, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. P. N. Wohlsen, D.D.,
pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, will officiate. Interment
will be in Stroudsburg cemetery. |
