Emma K. Rice
Emma K. Rice, 78, of 502 Reynolds St., Easton, died Saturday in Easton Hospital.
She and her late husband, Arthur J. Rice, who died Nov. 17, 1987, operated a grocery store at the corner of Berwick and Reynolds Street, Easton, for 28 years.
Born Sept. 14, 1909, in Lansford, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Marcus and Sarah Keifer.
A registered nurse, she was a graduate of Lankanau Hospital School of Nursing.
Mrs. Rice was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the ladies auxiliary of Hugh de Payans Commadery 19, Knights Templar, both of Easton.
There are no immediate survivors. A son, Edwin J., died in 1977.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hay's Cemetery, Easton. The Struck Funeral Home, Easton, is in charge of the arrangements. |
