Lewis Kiefer
Lewis Kiefer, 73, of 735 Laufer St, Bethlehem, died Saturday in St. Luke’s hospital after an illness of three weeks. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Fereno) Kiefer.
Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late George and Louisa (Everhard) Kiefer.
He retired in 1971 after 30 years of employment as a layout man and fitter for the Bethlehem Foundry, Inc., Easton.
He served in the Navy from 1926 until 1932.
He was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem.
Surviving are four sons, ***** of Fountain Hill, Lewis of Wescosville, and ***** and ****** both of Bethlehem, two daughters, ***** of Crestlawn, Ohio, and ***** of Allentown, four brothers, Frances and Arthur of Bethlehem, Wilber of Fountain Hill and Robert of Morrisville: two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Reed and Mrs. Catharine Schrieber, both of Bethlehem and 17 grandchildren.
Services will be 11 AM Wednesday in the Connell Funeral Home, to 46 E Broad Street, Bethlehem. Cali hours will be Tuesday evening.
