Frederick C. Knecht Sr., 68, of 1319 Monocacy St., Bethlehem,
died Thursday in his home. Northampton County Coroner Joseph
F. Reichel ruled the death a suicide by hanging.
Knecht was the husband of Viola M. (Wessner) Knecht.
He was an electrician in Bethlehem Steel Corp.'s Martin Tower
office before retiring.
Born in Bath, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Bartholomew)
Knecht.
He was a member of College Hill Moravian Church, Bethlehem.
Surviving with his widow are two sons, a daughter, six sisters,
and five grandchildren.
Services will be at the convenience of the family in the Wallace
M. Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. There will
be no calling hours. |
