Howard C. Knecht
Howard C. Knecht, 80, of Easton R.D. 2, who was engaged in
the plumbing and heating business in Nazareth for 25 years
died yesterday morning at his home. He retired from business
eight years ago.
Mr. Knecht was born in Bushkill Township, a son of the late
Robert and Elizabeth Roth Knecht. He was a member of Aluta
Lodge of the IOOF, Knights of Friendship, of Nazareth, the
Se-Wy-Co Fire Co., of Wydnor, Bethlehem, and St. John’s
Lutheran Church, Nazareth.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Sarah Young Knecht, a son, Russell
with whom he resided; four daughters, Mrs. Wilson Brodt, of
Tatamy; Mrs. Charles Garrison, of Nazareth; Mrs. Harrison R.
Meyers, of Wydnor, Bethlehem and Mrs. Mahlon Rumsey, of Nazareth;
a brother, Floyd of Copella, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Knecht
Funeral Home, Easton. |
