Richard Knecht
Richard Knecht, aged 70 years, son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Samuel Knecht, died last Sunday at Loyal Oak, OH. He was born
in Newburg in 1851, was baptized on July 15, 1851, and was
confirmed on October 9, 1869, in the Memorial Reformed Church
of Hecktown, by Rev. M. A. Smith, who was the pastor at that
time. In 1872 he went to Loyal Oak, Ohio, where he resided
up until the time of his death.
In 1876 he was married to Miss Amanda Harrier, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Harrier. He is survived by two children,
Harry, of Loyal Oak and Mrs. Leon P. Miller, of Akron, Ohio.
He also leaves a grandson and 4 brothers, James, of Reading;
Erwin of Fogelsville, Lewis, of Bethlehem and Abraham, of Hecktown.
The funeral took place last Wednesday with interment in the
Loyal Oak Cemetery. |
