Mrs. Herman D. Wolff, Widow of Easton Insurance Official
Mrs. Elizabeth Wolff, 78, Eastwood Home, Wilson died yesterday
in the home. Her husband Herman D. Wolff, died in 1968. He
was founder and former secretary and treasurer of Kressler,
Wolff and Miller. Easton insurance firm.
Mrs. Wolff was born in Easton on July 9, 1898, a daughter
of the late William J. and Gertrude Bachman Kressler. After
being graduated from Easton High School in 1917, she taught
school in West Easton. Later she was assistant librarian at
the Easton Public Library.
Mrs. Wolff was a past president of the Easton Children's Home
and life member of the First United Church of Christ, Easton.
She was a member of the George Taylor Chapter, DAR, and Planned
Parenthood and Tuberculosis societies, all of Easton.
Surviving are a son, Ahlert D. of Easton; a daughter, Mrs.
Robert C. Ferris, Fairport, NY; a brother, John H. Kressler,
Easton; a sister, Mrs. William Cain, Manchester, NH, and five
grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First United
church of Christ, Easton. Interment wil be in Easton Cemetery.
Arrangements are in charge of the Shillinger Funeral Home,
