Robert J. Laub, 97, of 2122 Gruver Ave., Palmer Township, died
Thursday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Lelia (Montague)
Laub.
He was chairman of the board of the Easton National Bank & Trust
Co. for many years. He started his career in banking in 1910
and was named chairman in 1959.
Laub also was former chairman, council member and treasurer
of Group 3, Pennsylvania Bankers Association; former chairman
of the Northampton and Lehigh County branches of the Pennsylvania
Economy League and executive secretary of the Industrial Promotional
Committee of the Easton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Miranda
(Kemmerer) Laub.
He was a member of First United Church of Christ, Easton.
Survivors: Wife; son, ; daughter,
six grandchildren and five
great- grandchildren.
Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Easton Heights Cemetery,
Easton. No calling hours. Arrangements, Ashton Funeral Home,
Easton.
