L. A. Maginnis, Salesman for Washington Auto firm, former manager of A&PLawrence A. Maginnis, 65, of 1 Jackson Valley Road, Washington J.J was dead on arrival today at warren Hospital after he was stricken at home.He was an automobile salesman for Smith Motor Co., Washington for thelast27 years. He formerly was manager of the Washington A&P store where he was employed from 1928 to 1953.Born in Bangor R. D. he was a son of Anna Shook Maginnis, Washington and the late Herbert Maginnis. He lived in Washington for the last 11yearsk, formerly living in Oxford.

Mr. Maginnis was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Oxford; president of the Hillside Cemetery Association, oxford, and the first Treasurer of the Oxford Volunteer fire co.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former Evelyn Miller; a son. a daughter, two brothers, Herbert of Oley, Pa. and Ted of Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Vinson, Phillipsburg, and Mrs. Alethea Baker, Belvidere, and three granddaughters.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ford Funeral Home, Washington. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Oxford.
