William J. McCabe, Sr., 79, of 324 W. Nesquehoning St., Easton died at 8:20 a.m. today in Easton Hospital where he was admitted on Nov. 25. He had been ill for about nine years

A lifelong resident of Easton, he was born on April 21, 1875, a son of the late Terrence and Sarah Coyle McCabe. He was amember of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Easton; Moose Lodge 45, Easton, and Court Charles A. Wyckoff, 179, Foresters of America, Easton

Surving are his widow, the former Emma M. Altenbach, and two sons, William J. McCabe Jr., of Easton and Paul J., at home.

The fuenral will be held on Thrusday at 9:15 a.m. at the Betchtel Funeral Home, Easton, Followed by requiem Mass at 10 a. . in St. Jospeh's Church, Easton.
