Dorothy R. Miller, 87, of Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center, Palmer Township, formerly of 1203 Washington St., Easton,
died Friday in Easton Hospital.
She taught English in the Easton Area School District for
50 years until retiring in 1970.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Jacob A. and
Ernestine (Bellmer) Miller.
A graduate of Columbia University, New York City, and Lehigh
University, Miller received her teaching certificate from West
Chester University.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton, where
she was a former coordinator of Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are a sister, Helen S. of Nazareth, and two brothers,
Albert J. of Clemmons, N.C. and Howard F. of Allentown.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. A calling
hour will precede the services. The Shillinger Funeral Home,
801 Lehigh St., Easton, is in charge of arrangements. |
