John H. Raub, 90, formerly of Palmer Twp., died Sunday, Nov.
7, 2004 in Lehigh Center, Macungie. Born: On November 25, 1913
in Huntington, NJ, he was a son of the late Anderson and Catherine
Pyatt Raub.
Personal: His wife, the former Martha W. Brightbill
died December 29, 2002. He and his late wife owned a farm where
the Palmer Park Mall is now located. Prior to that, he worked
for the former Treadwell. John enjoyed square dancing, baking,
and hunting.
Memberships: He was a member of Palmer Moravian
Community Church, where he was active in the church, helped to
cook at church dinners, and was a former sacristan.
Survivors:
He is survived by a son,*****of Palmer Twp.; three daughters,
***** and her husband David of Orwigsburg, Pa, ****** of Bath,
***** and her husband David of Rydal, Pa; a sister,
Verna Pfenning of Palmer Twp.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Carl, Phillip, and Stewart; and three sisters,
Hazel Hulsizer, Florence Bird, and Helen Salada all died earlier.
Services: Will be Wednesday at
11 a.m. in the church, John St. & Moravian Ave., Palmer Twp.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine. Arrangements
are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson
