Obituary
Oscar Raub WOMELSDORF Oscar Raub, 95, of Womelsdorf, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2008, at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Pauline M. Rupert Raub, and on March 4th, they celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Born in Haycock Twp., Bucks County, on March 15, 1913, he was the son of the late William and Sarana Sterner Raub. He retired in 1978 after owning and operating Raub's Subs at Green Dragon and Roots Markets for 38 years. He attended the Lebanon God's Missionary Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Leonard M., husband of Sharon Raub, of Womelsdorf; three grandchildren; and twelve greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence O. Raub, and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lebanon God's Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon. Viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Myerstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his church. Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown, is in charge of the arrangements.
