Edward Reimer, Former teacher, Owner of Store
Edward R. Reimer, 87, a former teacher in East Bangor schools and a retired merchant died yesterday at 11 p.m. at his home, 520 S. Main St., Bangor, he had been ill several days.

Born in Upper Mount Bethel Township, he was a son of the Township; he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob D. Reimer. He was a graduate of Kutztown State Normal School. He taught for a time in country schools and then in East Bangor Schools for 12 years. He left the teaching profession in1906. Mr. Reimer owned and operated a general merchandise store until 1924 when he retired.

He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed church, Bangor; He was an elder emeritus of the church as well as a former financial secretary.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles Hayes, of Easton, and Miss Marion Reimer, at home; a son, Wilbert, of Kearny, N.J.; a brother, Eli, of Bangor, 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Stoddard Funeral Home, Bangor
