Amandus Sampson
Amandus Sampson for many years proprietor of the Sampson ore mines in Williams Township, died at 7:30 o'clock on Sunday evening at his home in Cedarville, Williams Township, of paralysis, aged 64 years. He was stricken on Friday at 5:15 p.m. and never regained consciousness. Deceased was twice married, and is served by his second wife and three daughters and a son - Mrs. Henry Barr, of South Side; Mrs. A.C. Pascoe, of Bethlehem; Mrs. Florence Dooley, of Virginia, and Raymond Sampson, of New York; also by the following brothers and sisters, William Sampson and Mrs. Jeremiah Sandt, of Cedarville; Edward Sampson and Mrs. G. M. Weller, of the South Side and Miss Lillie Sampson of Chicago, Ill.
Mr. Sampson was a native of Williams Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sampson, and lived in that township all his life. For forty years he was proprietor of the Sampson ore mines in Williams Township. He retired four years ago. |
