Native of Portland Dies at Syracuse
Funeral services for Benjamin F. Shannon, 62, of Syracuse, a brother of Arthur Shannon of Easton, Pa., were conducted at 2 p.m. yesterday from the home, 128 West Manlius Street, East Syracuse, Burial was in Collamer. Mr. Shannon, conductor on New York Central trains for 40 years, died Sunday at University Hospital, Syracuse.

A native of Portland, Pa., Mr. Shannon had resided in East Syracuse for 40 years. He was a member of Division 43, Order of Railway Conductors, Other survivors include his widow, Mrs. Addie Burrows Shannon; one other brother, Stephen Shannon of Bangor, Pa., his step-father, Lee Felker; a half brother, Russell Felker and a half-sister, Mrs. Hugh Morris, all of Bangor, Area.
