Mrs. John Allen
Mrs. Cora Shook Allen, 75, wife of John Allen, died today at her home, 3 Plainfield Ave., Pen Argyl.
Born in Richmond, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Shook. She had lived in Pen Argyl 19 years and before that lived in Bangor for six years.
She was a member of Zion Methodist Church, pen Argyl; the Lend a Hand Bible Class, the Women’s Society of Christian Service, and the SCTU, all of the church.
Survivors include a stepson, Dr. Harold Y. Allen, Cumberland, Md.; a brother, Charles shook of Easton, and five step-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Swoyer Funeral Home, Pen Argyl. |
