Helen Staples, Former Teacher in Stockertown
Helen E. Staples, 78, of 101 N. Tenth St., Easton, died Tuesday in Easton Hospital.
Her husband, Paul W. Staples, died in 1937.

Born in Martin’s Creek, she was a daughter of the late Charles N. and Jennie Gulick Snyder.

Mrs. Staples was a member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, Easton; a charter member of the Diana Sitgreaves Missionary Society and a charter member of the Cosmopolitan Club of the Easton YWCA.

She was a teacher in the Stockertown area and church school in her earlier years. She was also on staff of the First Presbyterian Church Day School, Easton.

Surviving are a son, ***** at home; a daughter, *****, Bethlehem; a brother, C. E. Snyder, Bethlehem, and three grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Colton Chapel, Lafayette College. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Martins Creek. The Robert W. Snyder Funeral Home, Riegelsville is in charge of arrangements.
