Leon Stamets
Leon Stamets, 68, of 119 N. Warren St. Easton, was found yesterday
dead in his car.
Born in Carpentersville, N.J, on Feb. 23, 1910, he was the
son of the late George W. and Rhoda Reimel Stamets.
He retired from his job as a chauffeur two years ago.
He is survived by two sons, six sisters, Mrs. Grace Frederick,
Bloomsbury, Mrs. Arlene Sykos, Phillipsburg, Mrs. Gertrude
Woolf, Still Valley, Mrs. Lois Zank, Hampton, Va., Mrs. Claire
Shappell, Stewartsville, and Mrs. Barbara Cappelletti of Phillipsburg;
three brothers, George of Easton, Richard of Warren Glen and
Kenneth of Phillipsburg, and three grandchildren. His wife,
Julia Stamets, died in 1972.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Clements
Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be at the Northampton
Memorial Shrine.
