Mrs. Helen S. Jackson, 85, formerly of Bangor, died Thursday in the Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort, Monroe County. Her husband, Raymond H. Jackson, died in 1982.
She was a partner with her husband in operating Steckel's Jewelry, Bangor, from 1939 until retiring in 1965.
Born in Bangor, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary (Shook) Steckel.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bangor.
Mrs. Jackson was past grand matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Ethel Chapter 172, Bangor, and past president of Bangor Woman's Club and the Bangor Business and Professional Woman's Club.
Surviving are a son, Wilson S. of Saylorsburg; a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held in the Hough Home for Funerals, Bangor. |
