Irwin D. Steckel
Irwin D. Steckel 67 of 127 West Berwick Street, died at 10:50
last evening at Bett's Hospital. He had been ill for two weeks
and was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday for Surgical treatment.
Mr. Steckel is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora H. Steckel,
two sons and one daughter; George Steckel, 502 Frederick Street;
Robert I. Steckel, 99 Lewis Street, Phillipsburg, and Miss
Anna Mae Steckel, residing at home. He also leaves the following
brothers and sisters: Mrs. Ella Woodring, Mrs. Alice Raub,
Mrs. Clara Benner, Mrs. Mamie Hineline, Mrs. Stella Illick,
Wilson Steckel and John Steckel, all of Easton; Five grandchildren,
Robert and Betty Lois of Easton; Barbara May, James and Robert
of Phillipsburg.
Mr. Steckel was born on the South Delaware River Drive and
was a son of the late George and Lucinda Steckel. he was employed
by the Pennsylvania Pump and compressor company, Bushkill park,
for 24 years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church,
South Side. He lived in Easton all his life. |
