Robert S. Steckel
Robert S. Steckel, 67, of 4302 Emrick Terrace in Palmer Township,
PA., died Wednesday in Easton Hospital.
He was a cost accountant for Ingersoll-Rand Co. In Phillipsburg
before retiring in 1983. A graduate of Easton high School in
1940, he attended Lafayette College and joined Ingersoll-Rand
in 1941.
Born in Easton, he was a son of Grace Labold Steckel of Palmer
Township, and the late George L. Steckel.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Palmer
Township, and a soloist in the choir of First United Methodist
Church in Easton. He also sang tenor with Chansonnette Theatre
and The Bach Choir of Bethlehem.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, the
former Clara Cappello; three sons, two daughters, and
two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist
Church in Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial
Shrine in Palmer Township, Pa.
The Morello Funeral Home in Easton is in charge of arrangements. |
