Former South Sider is Dead in Philadelphia
Mrs. William Rymond, of 617 Wireback Street, on Saturday received
a telegram informing her of the death of her aunt Mrs. Emma
Matthews, of Philadelphia, and a former resident of the South
side. She was the widow of Herman Mathews, and since leaving
Easton 25 years ago, frequently visited here. Her death occurred
Saturday morning in the Episcopal Hospital, following a week's
illness from pneumonia. Her only near survivor is a daughter,
Mrs. Florence MacGarigle, of Philadelphia. The funeral will
be held from her home No. 6722 North Seventeenth Street, Philadelphia,
on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. A number of relatives
from this city will attend.
