Edgar L. Uhler
Edgar L. Uhler, 73, of 520 North Sixth Street, Allentown, died yesterday afternoon in Sacred heart Hospital, Allentown, where he had been a patient for a week. He had been in failing health nearly a year.
Mr. Uhler was born in Phillipsburg, a son of the late Levi and Hannah Marsh Uhler, and had resided in Allentown for 65 years, and was employed as a clerk by Charles T. Mohr, Allentown tinsmith.
He was a member of the Pioneer Band, the Pioneer Fire Co., the Pioneer Home Association, and the Hanover Aid Society. His wife the former Minnie J. Ott, preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth W. of Allentown; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mary A. Roberts, with whom he resided.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Burkholder funeral home, Allentown, Interment will be in Farmersville cemetery. |
