Harold E. Hassie or Hoss Uhler, 72, of Mount Holly Springs, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008 in Harrisburg Hospital. Hassie was born in Stockertown, Pa. on March 2, 1936 to Charles and Alice (Young) Uhler. He was the husband of ***** Uhler with whom he would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June.

Hassie was currently employed by South Middleton Township and also held past employment with Home Depot and was a teacher at Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech School. He was a member of the former Mount Holly Springs Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was a 1954 graduate of Nazareth Area High School. He enjoyed woodworking, socializing with friends, sports, spending time with his grandchildren and hunting at Kellys Dream in Bedford County.

Survivors: Surviving in addition to his wife are three children, son, **** and ***** of Winchester, Va.; daughter, ****** residing at home; son, **** and ***** of Mount Holly Springs. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, ***** and ***** of Gibsonia, Pa.; six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Gary, and twin daughters, Jamie and Janice, two sisters, Catherine Uhler and Jean Parenti, and a brother, Charles.

Services: were held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mount Holly Springs, with the Rev. Lisa Klinger officiating.

Interment will be held in Mount Holly Springs Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Viewing was held from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday.
