Marcus A. Uhler
Marcus A. Uhler, a former school teacher and tax collector of Forks Township, died at 6 o’clock this morning at the home of his son, L. Allen Uhler, in Palmer Township, of paralysis. He was first stricken on December 4, 1924.

Mr. Uhler was in the 74th year of his age and was born in Forks Township on February 23, 1855. He was a son of the late Jeremiah and Matilda Schug Uhler. For 12 years he taught school in that township and for 14 years collected taxes there. Most of his life was spent in Forks Township.

His wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Uhler died on March 9, 1907, Three sons, survive him; J. Lloyd Uhler, of Forks Township; Dr. Chester R. Uhler of Washington, D.C. and L. Allen Uhler, of Palmer Township. He also leaves on brother, Lovene A. Uhler of 210 Cattell Street, this city.

Mr. Uhler was a member of Lutheran congregation at Forks church and had many friends in this vicinity.
