Brinton Walter, 85, Retired Barber
Brinton Parker Walter, 85, a Barber in Easton and vicinity for 61 years before his retirement in July 1947, died yesterday afternoon I the Causa convalescent home after an illness of two and a half years.
Mr. Water’s home was at 907 Ferry street, he died barbering work in this section since 1886; operating his own shop for many years at 905 Ferry Street, he was Easton’s oldest barber with regard to years of service.
Born in this city on July 24, 1864 he was a son of the lte William and Sallie Ann Fraunfelder Walter. Mr. Walter was a member of St. Marks’ Evangelical Reformed church. His wife, Maggie Maud Pohl Water, died in April 1943.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Clifford H. Krantz, of the Ferry Street address; a son, Erskine M. Walter, of Allentown; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
