Edgar Kirk and wife were Easton residents
Mrs. Margaret Kirk, and her husband, Edgar Kirk, 50, victims of a double shooting incidents on Wednesday night Jersey City, New Jersey where former residence of Easton.

Mr. Kerr died almost instantly of a self inflicted bullet wound shortly after shooting his wife. Mrs Kurtz succumbed several hours later in the Jersey City Medical Center.

A native of Easton, Mrs. Kirk had spent the greater later part for married life in Jersey City. She was the daughter of Stewart D and Lizzie R. Walter, of Pen Argyl, R.D.

Surviving, in addition to who parents or three children, James, of Union City, New Jersey and Arlington Kirk and Mrs. Betty Jane Metger, both of Saylorsburg: three brothers, Carl Walter, of Easton: Russell Walter, of Washington, DC, and Roy Walters. of Frederick, Md., , and a sister Mrs. Emily Parcells of Bangor.

Mr. Kirk was born in Harrisburg, and lived for short time in Easton, where he worked for railroad. He was a veteran of World War I. Whose parents were the late Mr. And Mrs. Scott Kirk..

His survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Ashby, of Harrisburg.

A double funeral service will be held from the Ashton funeral home on Sunday at 2PM and interment will be at Easton Heights cemetery.
