Mabel A. Mamber -- bookkeeper
Mabel A. Mamber, 86, of 843 Wilbur Ave., Phillipsburg,
died Saturday, July 28, in the Care Center of Phillipsburg.
A bookkeeper, she was last associated with the Spring Crest
Beverage Co. in Phillipsburg, which her husband owned,
and before that worked as a bookkeeper for the former Oxford
Dye Works in Oxford Township. At one time she worked for
the former Cohen's Clothing Store in Washington.
Born Aug.
3, 1914, in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late
Harvey and Laura Eckhardt Walters. She had resided in Phillipsburg
all her life.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
in Phillipsburg. She was a 1932 graduate of Phillipsburg
High School.
Her husband, William, died in 1942.
She is
survived by a daughter, ***** of Bethlehem
Township, Pa.; a sister, Mary M. Wood of Honeoye, N.Y.;
nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Tuesday in in the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway,
Phillipsburg. Call 10 a.m. Tuesday to time of services in
the funeral home. Burial will be in St. James Lutheran Cemetery
in Greenwich Township. |
