C. G. Weidman, Dairy Farmer, Is Dead at 59
Charles G. Weidman, a leading dairy farmer in Northampton County, died yesterday of a heart attack at his home at Mount Bethel R. D.1, He was 59.
Mr. Weidman was director of District 1, Dairymen’s League, since last October and was president of the Richmond Lions Club. He had farmed for about 25 years on the property near Stone Church where he was born and resided for his entire life.
He former headed the Richmond local of the Dairymen’s League and was a member of the local ever since he began farming. As district director, he was in charge of 12 locals in Northampton County and Warren, Hunterdon and Sussex Counties in New Jersey. Last year he headed a committee to organize brucellosis test for dairy hears in the Mount Bethel area.
Mr. Weidman was a past master of Portland Lodge 311, F&AM, and was a member of Lehigh Consistory, Allentown; Easton Forest 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Senior Order, United American Mechanics.
Before entering farming, he was a teller at the Portland National Bank.
He was a son of the late George B. and Jemina Gulick Weidman.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Thelma Kline Weidman, and a brother, Frank E. Weidman, of Grenloch, N.J.. Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ E. and R. Church, Stone Church.

Funeral services for Charles G. Weidman, 59, of Mount Bethel R. D.1, were held yesterday afternoon in Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, Stone Church.
Mr. Weidman, who was district director of the Dairymen’s League, a dairy farmer and president of the Richmond Lions Club, died at his home Sunday.
The Revs. Stewart Bortner and John O. Reagle, present and immediate past pastors of Christ Church, officiated at the services. Interment was in Union Cemetery, Stone Church, Pallbearers were Floyd Labar, Home McEwen, Addison Miller, Paul Vogel, Elton Ott and Benjamin Kauffman. The Richmond Lions Club attended the services in a group.
