Alberta M. (Werkheiser) Smith, 79, of Springfield Township,
died Thursday, August 4, 2005 in her home. She was the wife
of Frank Smith.
Born in Lower Saucon Township on January 6,
1926, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Bertha
(Adams) Werkheiser.
She was a knitter for SureFit, Bethlehem,
for 14 years until retiring in 1986, and Laros and Warners,
Bethlehem, in the same capacity.
Survivors: Husband, Frank Smith; son, ****and
**** of Riegelsville; daughter, ***** of
Coopersburg; brother, Walter H. and Mabel Werkheiser of Plantation,
Fla.; four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. Predeceased
by brothers, William R., Ira E. and Mahlon M. Werkheiser, and
sister, Jean A. Farrington.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, August 8, 2005 at the Heintzelman
Funeral Home, Inc., 326 Main St, Hellertown. Family and friends
are invited from 9-10 a.m. in the funeral home for a calling
