Marvin A. Williams Sr., 88, formerly of Little Creek Road, Bangor R.4, died Wednesday
in Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township. He was the husband of Margaret (Hower)
Williams, to whom he was married 55 years last month, and the late Jennie (Hagley)
Williams.
He worked on the road crew for PennDOT, retiring in 1969.
Before that he was a self-employed farmer.
Born in Lower Mount Bethel Township, he was a son of the late
Martin and Bertha (Rasely) Williams.
He was a member of Flicksville United Church of Christ.
Survivors: Wife; sons, Marvin A. Jr. of Danielsville and James
M. of Yukon, Westmoreland County; daughters, Patricia Banghart
of Belvidere, N.J., and Leoda Moosch of Bangor R.4; 14 grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter,
Shirley Stine.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Reed-Gaffney Funeral Home, Johnsonville.
