Mrs. Hugh L. Heavener, Native of Easton
Mrs. Bertha N. Heaven, who resided at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Gehman, of 1137 S. Howard St., Allentown, died yesterday morning in Allentown General Hospital. Mrs. Heavener, the widow of Hugh L. Heavener, had been in ill health for the last eight months.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late William and May Hay Woodring. She had resided in Allentown since 1932.
Mrs. Heavener was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church and ladies Bible class, Bethany Orphans Home Auxiliary, and the Phoebe Home Auxiliary, all of Allentown.
Surviving besides the sister with whom she resided, is one brother William S. Woodring, of Camp Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the J. S. Burkholder Funeral Home, Allentown. |
