Fatal Fall From Wagon
Palmer D. Woodring Killed While Assisting on Son's Farm
Palmer D. Woodring, aged 56 years, a farmer residing between Snyder's Church and Bath, was almost instantly killed yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock, when he fell from a wagon while assisting in work at the farm of his son, Walter, near Weaversville. He was helping bring in grain from a field and was seated on a wagon. The horses became unruly and Mr. Woodring fell from the wagon, his head striking on the road. Dr. J.E. Longacre, of Weaversville, was called but Mr. Woodring was past all medical aid . No one was near when the accident occurred.
Mr. Woodring is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Walter Woodring, and by three children, Walter, of Weaversville; Mrs. Raymond Flory, of Moorsetown and Robert, living at home. He also leaves on brother, Leidy J. Woodring, of 42 South Thirteenth street, this city, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Fogel, of Hanoversville and Mrs. Milton Brown, of Hecktown. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 1:30 from his late home, followed by services in Hecktown church and interment in adjoining cemetery. |
