William Woodring, 79, Machinist, Farmhand
William H (Tip) Woodring, 79, a former is she missed and farmhand Anne resident Nazareth for many years, died yesterday morning at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D. one. He had been a guest at the home since March 1, 1949.
Mr. Woodring was employed as a machinist by the Messinger Manufacturing Company, Tatamy, and prior to World War I was a machinist for the Bethlehem Steel Company. Before entering Gracedale, he was a farmhand for Mr. And Mrs. Oliver S Woodring, Easton R.D. 2.
He was born in Forks Township, a son of late George and Susannah Brinker Woodring. He was of the United Church of Christ faith.
Surviving are a brother, Stanley R, Nazareth and two sisters, Mrs. Clara S Osterstock, Nazareth and Mrs. Stella M Gintner, Tatamy. There also several nieces and nephews.
Two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Johnson and Mrs. Floyd M. Butz, died before him. Three brothers died in infancy.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday in the FW Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth.
