ennie Elizabeth Altorfer
Jennie Elizabeth Altorfer, 95, of Upper Mount Bethel Township, Pa., die Monday, December 26, 2005 in her residence. Born May 17, 1910 in Lower Mount Bethel Township, she was the daughter of the late William Chester and Caroline (Reagle) Gulick. Her husband, Paul U. Altorfer, died in 1971. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for the former D & R Sportswear, Roseto, Pa., until retiring in 1975. She was a graduate of Belvidere High School and Churchmans Business School. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mount Bethel. She was a member of U.N.I.T.E., the garment workers union, and the Stone Church Senior Citizens Group.

Survivors: Daughter, ***** of Upper Mount Bethel Township; two sons,***** of Upper Mount Bethel Township and ***** of Upper Mount Bethel Township; sister, Helen K. Ike of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two stepgrandsons. One brother, Rev. John R. Gulick, and a sister, Marion C. Shook, both died earlier.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday in Trinity United Church of Christ, 632 S. Delaware Drive, Mount Bethel, Pa., with the Rev. William Shrout officiating. Call 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Centreville Cemetery, Upper Mount Bethel Township. The Reed/Gaffney Funeral Home Inc., Village of Johnsonville, Bangor, is in charge of arrangements.
