REV. JOHN GULICK, 83, RETIRED UCC MINISTER
The Rev. John R. Gulick, 83, of Lower Mount Bethel Township, a United Church of Christ clergyman, died Thursday in the Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Stella (Hausmann) Gulick. They observed their 55th wedding anniversary last June.

Gulick was pastor of the New Ringgold UCC charge from 1948 until retiring in 1973, when he became pastor emeritus.

A graduate of Ursinus College and Lancaster Theology Seminary in 1933, he served the Second Church in Scranton, 1933-39, and the Nittany Valley charge, 1939-47. He was vice president of the Reading Synod, 1959-60.

Born in Lower Mount Bethel Township, he was a son of the late William and Caroline (Reagle) Gulick.

Survivors: Wife; son James of Bangor R.2; daughters, *****and *****, both of McKeansburg, Schuylkill County, and ***** of Eugene, Ore.; sisters, Mrs. Marian Shook, Mrs. Elizabeth Althofer and Mrs. Helen Ike, all of the Bangor area; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Trinity UCC, Stone Church, Upper Mount Bethel Township. Call 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the church. Arrangements, Reed Funeral Home, Johnsonville.
