Mrs. Heisler, Wife of Retired Easton Teacher
Mrs. Gladys Sandt Heisler, 71, of 331 Cattell St., died this morning in Easton Hospital where she was admitted Nov. 10.
Mrs. Heisler as the wife of Hobart D. Heisler Sr., a retired Easton school teacher.
Before her retirement she was employed in the order service department of the J.T. Baker Chemical Co. Before that she was in charge of suburban news for the Easton Express. Earlier she worked in the Express business office.
Active in national bridge circles, she taught bridge at the J. T. Baker Chemical Co. and organized company sponsored tournaments.
Born in Easton, she taught at a one-room school I Forks Township before joining the Express. She was a graduate of Easton High School. Her father owned the College Hill Print Shop.
Survivors include four sons, John D., San Francisco, Calif.; Hobart D. Jr., Glenmont, N.Y. Donald S., Bethlehem and Hugh H. Milford, N.J. and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Shillinger Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery.
