Yesterday morning, Mrs. Sabina Hartzell, widow of the late Charles Hartzell, died suddenly of apoplexy at her late home in Bethlehem. The deceased was born in old Forks Township on February 19, 1818, and was the daughter of the late Frederick Schweitzer and his wife, Anna F Ecker. She was married on January 22, 1839, to Charles Hartzell. They went to housekeeping on a farm in Lower Mt. Bethel Township, where they resided four years. They farmed afterward at Newburg for twelve years and at Altonah for eleven years. In 1866 they moved to Bethlehem, where Mr. Hartzell died on July 31, 1884, and where his widow has since resided. The surviving children are Edwin F. Hartzell, assistant postmaster, Anna E. , wife of William H. Frankenfield, and Charles F. Hartzell, all of Bethlehem, and Miss Amanda E. Hartzell, all of Bethlehem. One sister, Mrs. Charles hay, resided at Nazareth. She is eighty years old and has been blind for fifteen years. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The services will be held in Salem church and the burial will be made in Union cemetery, Bethlehem.
