Simon P. Bachman
After an illness of gastritis, extending over a month, but which assum ed a serious aspect only during the past few days. Simon P. Bachman, a we ll known contractor and builder of this city, died at 11:45 o?clock Saturd ay night, at his home, No. 1334 Northampton Street.
The deceased was born in Washington Township, this country, and was in h is forty-seventh years. His parents are Mrs. Elizabeth and the late Geor ge Bachman. He resided in Easton for the past thirty years. At various t imes he represented the Eighth ward in the school board and in select coun cil.
He is survived by a widow, Elizabeth Bachman, one son, Frank and a daughte r, Sadie M. Bachman. His mother, almost a centenarian, living at Bangor, a nd these brothers and sisters also survive: Stephen, Christopher and Charl es Bachman, of Michigan; John C. and Owen Bachman, of Bangor; Mrs. Theodo re Miller, of Upper Mt. Bethel; Mrs. Rev. Charles Gruver, of Lock Haven; M rs. Michael Lambert, of Durham, Bucks County; Mrs. Jonas Ruch, of Easton a nd Mrs. J. J. Miller, of Michigan.
The deceased was a member of the Royal Arcanum (Star Council), this city. |
