Stewart L Metz was Cabinet Maker
Stewart L Metz, 76, a cabinet maker for 20 years, died unexpectedly last night at his home in Belfast, Nazareth R.D. three, about ? hour after you stricken with a heart attack.
Before he went into cabinet making business, Mr. Metz operated a barber shop at his home for several years. He also had worked at one time for the C F Martin & Co. guitar factory in Nazareth, and early in life, was employed as a slater.
A lifelong resident of Plainfield Township, he made his home in Belfast f or 50 years. He was born October 20, 1873, the son of the late Reuben and Matilda (Cope) Metz. Active in church affairs, Mr. Metz was a member of the Grace Lutheran church, Belfast, and formerly served on that's church council.
Surviving are his wife, the former Celesta DeWalt and a step-sister Mrs. Annie Mack, of Ackermanville
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Schmidt Mortuar y, Nazareth. The Rev. L B Klick will officiate and interment wi ll be in Belfast Union cemetery. |
