Mirabeau D. Roberts
Death from complications, from which he had been suffering for almost a ye ar, claimed Mirabeau D. Roberts, lifelong resident of Chapman Quarries, wh en he died at his home on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. He was in his se venty seventh year.
Mr. Roberts was born September 18, 1855, at Chapman Quarries, the son of t he late Robert D., and Levina, nee Moyer, Roberts, and was a faithful a nd devout member of the chapman Quarries Methodist Episcopal church. He w as an expert slate maker by trade.
There survive to mourn his loss, in addition to his widow, Sarah, nee Feh r, the following children; Robert Roberts, Mrs. John George and Mrs. Fra nk Marsteller, of Bethlehem; C. Victor Roberts and William Roberts, bo th of Chapman Quarries. Two brothers, Robert Roberts, and John Rober ts of Chapman Quarries and fourteen grandchildren, also survive.
Funeral services will be held from his late home on Sunday afternoon at t wo o'clock with regular services in the Methodist Episcopal Church at Chap man Quarries. Interment will be made in the Greenmount cemetery, Bath. |
