Mrs. Amanda Carhart
Mrs. Amanda Carhart, who had been ill for the past eight months, died at h er home, 26 North Third street, at 7:30 o'clock this morning, aged 70 year s. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Cecilia Unangst, of this c ity and the widow of Edwin Carhart, who died many years ago. For a conside rable time, Mrs. Carhart was a bookkeeper for the C. M. Hapgood Shoe Compa ny, a well known business house here years ago and when the company dissol ved she became a bookkeeper for the Seitz Brewing Company. She retired fr om this work some years ago. Her only survivors are Miss Helen Moser, East on, a niece and Clyde Moser, Easton, and Roy Slemmer, Philadelphia, nephew s. Mrs. Carhart was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Phillipsbu rg.

Funeral of Mrs. Carhart
The funeral of the late Mrs. Amanda E. Carhart, widow of Edwin Carhar t, of 26 North Third Street, was held this morning at 11 o'clock at the As hton and Heck Home for Services, 1501 Washington Street, Warren Charles He inly, student pastor of St. John's Lutheran church, conducted the servic es and interment was made in the Easton Heights Cemetery. |
